Veterans Day

Take a moment, think about our soldiers, past and present, and the responsibility they have, the sacrifices they have made, to allow us to walk free in our country, to live free.  No matter what your thoughts or feelings are about war, the military, or the men and women who have done their duty, here and abroad, they deserve our respect and gratitude.  Hug a vet today, or offer a friendly smile.  Especially remember the fallen; they have paid the dearest price.

This song always kills me.  I wasn't going to post it because it makes me cry, but I decided why not.  So, a few tears were shed for the soldiers--of all conflicts; a few shed in the hope of a peaceful world; a few in thanks that I'm American, and regardless of how screwed up our country can be, it's still ours...as are these soldiers: our fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers, family, friends and fellow countrymen. Be proud to be American by honoring our veterans today.
